A happy group of SOBs gathered at SOB Carrol Clemens’ home to experience our traditional Spring Tea and celebrate the 37th Anniversary of The Sound of the Baskervilles.
Our surprise and most welcome guest was Bob Coghill, BSI, Stormy Petrel, from Vancouver, BC, staying in Maple Valley care-taking friends’ cat (lucky friends and cat!). Tea fare was abundantly present as usual; no one went away hungry, perhaps for the rest of the day. SOB PFL David Haugen reminded the group of upcoming events. Bob talked about the Stormy Petrels’ 30th anniversary celebration on September 16; information about this event is the April 2017 issue of Ineffable Twaddle (Page 5).
SOB Lending Librarian Sheila Holtgrieve read three poems that capture why we all love Holmes and Watson, Baker Street and Conan Doyle. Many raffle items, especially some very fine Sherlockiana donated by SOB Geoff Jeffrey, were taken home.
Many thanks to Carrol, the SOB “official” hostess for her graciousness and generosity.
